Common Practice works with healthcare organizations to improve conversations about serious illness and end of life issues. The Conversation System is our innovative program that translates communication theory and evidence-based science into practical everyday interactions.
The Conversation System takes lessons and processes from our research-proven conversation game, Hello, and adapts them for use in patient interactions — situations where time is short but where building rapport and trust is critical to providing person-centered care.
In the Conversation System, Common Practice staff lead staff teams through a series of workshops where they gain direct experience with our conversation game, Hello, and learn simple ways to start person-centered conversations while maintaining a supportive and safe environment for patients.
